Patch reef, live bottom and artificial wreck fishing inside 15 miles of the inlet, in 30 to 60 feet of water. Sea bass, sheepshead, flounder, red and black drum, spanish and king mackerel, with sharks a regular bonus. King mackerel, cobia and amberjack on the troll and on live bait, with sea bass, sheepshead and triggerfish on the bottom between runs. Real offshore fishing without giving up the whole day. Our most-booked trip. Twenty-five to thirty-five miles out, mixing a trolling spread for pelagics with bottom drops on deep ledges and wrecks. Grouper, amberjack, snapper and triggerfish on the bottom, cobia and kings on the way out and back. The three-quarter day that fishes like a full one. Leaves 7am. $1,800
The same eight hours, run thirty-five to fifty-five miles out to the deeper ledges where the bigger bottom fish hold. Grouper, snapper, amberjack and trigger, with a bigger average class than anything closer in. An earlier start buys you the extra range. Leaves 6am. $2,200
Seventy to eighty miles to the shelf edge, dropping baits 400 to 800 feet on electric reels. Golden and blueline tilefish, snowy and yellowedge grouper, red and vermilion snapper, and deep-water amberjack that fight all the way up. A specialist day, and all the gear comes with it. Leaves 5am. $2,800
Seventy to one hundred miles out to the outer continental shelf, working the live bottom, ledges and hard structure. Grouper, red and vermilion snapper, triggerfish and red porgy, with king mackerel, cobia and mahi as bonus fish on the run. This is bottom fishing at the far edge of a single day. Leaves 5am. $2,600
The longest day we run: seventy to one hundred miles into the Gulf Stream with the trolling spread out. Mahi and wahoo along the weed lines, blackfin and yellowfin tuna in the blue water, and sailfish and blue marlin as legitimate targets. All billfish are caught and released. Leaves 4am. $3,200
Four hours inside twelve miles, with a chum slick working and heavy live and cut baits at several depths. Blacktip, lemon, bull and tiger sharks, with Atlantic sharpnose filling in the light-tackle action. Nothing at this range pulls harder. Leaves 7am. $1,200 on Trophy, $1,500 on Triton
Five hours from 5pm: out with the sun still up, fishing the sunset bite, then on into the dark when the sharks feed hardest. Same water and same species as the day trip, plus the Myrtle Beach skyline from offshore. Hearing the drag before you see anything is why people book it twice. $1,500 – $2,000
A private two hours timed to the sunset, out of Murrells Inlet and along the beachfront. The whole boat is yours, up to six guests, with the marsh, the jetties and the skyline lit up on the way home. Dolphins feed in the evening, so they often turn up too. By appointment. $1,200
A private two hours looking for the wild bottlenose dolphins that live off Murrells Inlet year-round. We run the same fast boat we fish from, so we cover more water than the tour boats, and sea turtles, rays and coastal birds come with the territory. The most kid-friendly trip we offer.
